Thermal Performance & Options:

Design, Function & Maintenance:
• Aesthetic Profile: Features a traditional, decorative frame with a flat lid, suitable for properties where a classic ceiling fixture is preferred.• Construction: Made from durable white injection moulded plastic, ensuring a seamless finish that requires no decorating or maintenance.
• Draught Resistance: The frame is fitted with compression seals that hold the lid firmly against the frame when closed, minimising heat loss.
• Operation: Easy to open and close with a simple turn of the catch.

Delivery was very efficient with lead times adhered to and packaged adequately. I think I received the loft hatch slightly earlier than expected. The LT235 is, basically, 100mm of polystyrene glued onto the hatch door. That, in itself, is not a problem but when the loft hatch is closed it can tend to scrape it and break off at the edges if it catches on the frame edge. Fixing the frame to the opening is quite straightforward and will require two people. One to hold it in place whilst the other secures it in place. But ensure that the opening is square. The frame is quite flexible and will screw in without an issue. However, it can distort quite easily and if the frame is not square, i.e. 90deg in each corner, then the door will not close properly and the polystyrene will catch and make a mess (experience talking here). So, as is always the case, the better the preparation, the easier the fitting will be. One last point, for the price of this I would have expected the implement to open the hatch to be included instead of it being seen as an optional extra at a price!
