How they keep the noise down
A standard access panel is effectively a hole in an acoustic wall or ceiling — a weak point where sound leaks through. An acoustic access panel closes that gap: the door carries acoustic insulation that absorbs and blocks sound, so the opening keeps much of the sound-reduction performance of the partition it sits in. Acoustic performance is measured in decibels (dB) of sound reduction, with panels available up to around 40dB — the figure for each model is on its product page.
Where they're used
Anywhere sound between rooms has to be controlled — offices and meeting rooms, apartments and hotels, recording studios and residential party walls. Wherever an acoustic partition has been specified, these panels let you keep the services behind it accessible without compromising the design.
