Fire-rated access panels give access to the services hidden in fire-compartmented walls and ceilings — pipework, cables, valves — without breaking the fire barrier that protects compartments and escape routes. Every one is independently fire tested and rated in minutes for how long it holds back fire.

Why fire-rated access matters
Where services pass through a fire-compartmented wall or ceiling — a service duct, a protected escape route, a utility riser — the access point has to hold the same fire resistance as the surface around it. A fire-rated access panel does exactly that: a secure, tested door that lets you reach what's behind it without creating a weak spot in the fire barrier. Building Regulations and the project specification will normally state where one is required, and to what rating.
Ratings, formats and sizes
Our fire-rated panels are tested to BS EN 1634-1 and rated at 60, 90 or 120 minutes; many are tested from both sides (duplex), and the range extends to riser doors for larger openings. Choose a picture frame (surface-mounted, frame visible) or a beaded frame (plastered in for a near-flush finish), in standard stock sizes or made-to-measure for non-standard openings.
