I have been looking for an adequate loft opener and this was great, I just wish there was an extendable option.

I bought the larger replacement loft hatch , I was so pleased to actually locate one of similar size . It fitted well , and although not easy , managed to do it myself and I am sevent four . It is light , a bonus , it might seem flimsy to some , but it’s quite adequate . You don’t need anything heavy . Think accidents ! It looks good , works a treat with the pole , and arrived in no time . Reasonable price as well . Thinking about installing a loft ladder now because it works so well .

As a Sheetmetal Worker for 50 years,I can say this loft hatch is very well made and the sizes were spot on, only 2 slight problems the door drops at the front , but the instructions says it could take up to 6 months to bed in , the other is a slight distortion of frame, even with the screws backed off , the item was delivered quicker than they said it would be , and was wrapped and packed really well .Much prefer a metal type to a plastic one which in time could fatigue and snap .

All good not fixed yet a bit too hot in roof void.:(

Nice peice of kit, but 560W & 720L, add 5 mm to each side to allow for lugs around edge of frame
