SDS Bespoke Loft Hatch

For the price you’d expect great workmanship & product which is exactly what you get. Emailed & got a prompt reply. Think the person on the other end knew I’d got in a muddle with where to put hinges as width is longer than length looking at it from landing. Tired after a lot of DIY they were right to seem confused as needed hinges on long side. Anyway my mistake & it really didn’t make any difference as fitted easily, door won’t get in the way, well made, perfect. Only down side is I’m 5ft 5” so can’t reach loft ladder with free pole. Will have to buy a longer one. Thank you

The loft hatch is excellent. It is well made and makes the access to the loft look as presentable as you can expect a loft hatch to look. I was a bit concerned about the size of the hatch as the opening isn't square, but after getting some advice by email I placed the order and the hatch was a good fit. It was a 2 person job to fit as you need 1 person to hold the hatch in place and another to mark where the holes should go. Other than that it was quite straight forward.

I received the loft hatch quickly, it's very well made and was easy to fit. It's a shame the door can't be removed from the frame to aid fixing but with a little help I was able to install it quickly and it looks great, should have purchased this years ago.

This is the second hatch I have ordered and like the first it fitted perfectly, is well built and works well. Delivery was timely and I am very please with the product and the service I have received.

The fact that I can order a bespoke hatch and it turns up in a bit over a week is quite impressive. The product is well finished and well packed for transit (though please think about non plastic solutions; I hate broken polystyrene foam!) It did everything it should except...it didnt seal at all well. The closure pressure at the latch just wasnt enough. So I'm not sure what 'Air Tested' actually means. Anyway an email to the company brought two spare latch cams. That didnt solve the proplem. Further investigation indicated that the non locking lath barrel had significant play. A new barrel was sent and now the seal is greatly improved. To test the seal I stayed in the loft with the hatch closed and the lights out. The light leak from below is a very clear indicator of unsealed gaps. In summary: a very good product (which could still be improved), the company responsive to problems found. Definately to be recommended.

I ordered a bespoke loft hatch using the measuring recommendations. The hatch arrived, fitted perfect. Easy to install with a little bit of assistance holding it in place whilst I fixed it in place. Works perfectly and looks really great. Third time of using this company and the are always spot on all the way from ordering to delivery. Definitely rercommended

Good product. I have bought and fitted three of these in the past few years. Good quality, easy to fit and easy to use. And they look very neat.

The item arrived early and was very well made. It was easy to fix with just a little help to lift into place. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
