The SDS is a precision-made, bespoke metal loft hatch providing certified Fire Rating, superior airtightness, and full compliance with Building Regulations Part L.
Fire Integrity & Thermal Performance:
• Fire Rating: Certified for a One-Way Fire Rating, providing essential safety and integrity to the ceiling compartmentation.• U Value & Compliance: The lid contains 50mm of exposed mineral wool insulation, achieving a U value of 0.32 W/m²K, fully complying with Part L of the Building Regulations.
• Airtightness: Features a concealed seal and a specialised locking system to achieve an incredible airtightness rating, critical for energy efficiency.
Bespoke Sizing & Installation Guidance:
• Custom Sizing: The hatch is made to your exact measurements, requiring the length and width of the loft opening (joist to joist) in mm, with a 5mm deduction for fitting tolerance.• Frame & Protrusion: The hatch frame depth is 63mm (up into the loft), and the finished panel has a minimal protrusion of 7mm from the ceiling, ensuring a subtle, clean aesthetic.
• Dual Lock Recommendation: For widths exceeding 750mm on the hinge side, two locks are recommended to ensure a secure, tight draught seal.
Construction & Locking:
• Construction: Fabricated from corrosion-resistant 1mm Zintec Steel. All hinges and fixings are concealed.• Standard Lock: Tri-drive lock featuring an O-ring seal on the shaft for ultimate airtightness. Optional Key lockable version also available.
• SDS-FR-OS: Please note this product comes with 2 x Tri-Drive Locks.

Very good quality. Delivery on schedule. Only gripe was not informing of expected delivery, so we were out when delivery arrived. Heavier than I thought it would be. Took old hatch door off was left with a hole surrounded by plywood casing. Opened the door on the new hatch, lifted the loft ladder base and placed it inside the frame of the new loft hatch. the got four clamps ready at the top of the loft opening and with my wife supporting the door, I climbed the ladder holding the frame. then held the frame inside the opening and clamped it in position allowing my wife to gratefully let go of the door. I pilot drilled the fixing holes and screwed it in place. It went together perfectly and the fit was spot on. Looks great. Thank you we are very pleased with it.

Very goog quality overall. The lock could have been more smooth. It looks very well compare to the old access hatch.

Found Jupiter Blue most helpful. The quality of hatch is very good and has made a massive difference to my hallway. Only improvement I feel they can make is dispatch information. I found a well packaged hatch leaning against the wall of my property. As I had not been informed of despatch details and the courier did not ring doorbell, I was surprised to find it had been delivered.

What a great hatch, very impressed with it. Very easy to fit, literally minutes. Used clamps to fit it in place, then screwed it in place, simple as that. Donna was fantastic as I had an issue with delivery, parcel force were terrible as usual but Donna sorted it out for me. One very pleased customer, highly recommend this product and company.
