The PD35 Contemporary Loft Hatch provides a sleek, maintenance-free solution, engineered with insulation that fully complies with Building Regulations Part L.
Thermal Performance & Compliance (PD35):
• Part L Compliance: The PD35 variant achieves a certified U Value of 0.35 W/m²K, fully meeting the current thermal requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations for new build properties.• Draught Sealing: The slim, hinged frame is fitted with compression seals designed to actively prevent draughts and reduce heat loss between the frame and the lid when closed.

Perfect solution to my loft problems, easy to install, only issue is the catch this is very very stiff and would prefer the lockable one

Fitted this hatch with a 3 section ladder. One point to be aware of if your joists are less than 200mm thick: The polystyrene insulation is 150mm thick, I had two choices 1) raise the mounting point for my ladder or 2) cut out a notch from the insulation so the legs of the ladder don't make contact with the insulation

I wanted an insulated loft hatch which doesn't protrude from the ceiling too much. This fits the bill

I had been looking for a larger than standard hatch for a while to replace a homemade wooden one. The dimensions for this one were perfect. Delivered as promised the next day and easy to fit (although two people are needed - one to hold the hatch while the other screws in the frame). I can't believe the difference having an insulated hatch has made to the temperature in the room. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a larger hatch.
