The Jupiter Blue plastic access panel range is designed to give a high quality product suitable for regular use at an extremely low price. We don’t offer a budget range, as cheap plastic hatches tend to be brittle and break easily. A false economy when you consider the cost of replacing with something suitable.
Every panel up to 450 x 450mm is guaranteed not to sag, even when used in ceilings, nobody else is able to make this claim (unless they're selling our panels)
Our UK Made access panels are injection moulded using a refined high impact styrenic plastic which is Ultra-Violet stable and will not discolour or fade when exposed to sunlight.
We use a standard design for our plastic access products so where different sizes are used in close proximity, there is continuity of colour, finish and appearance. The panels have a very low profile, further enhanced by the use of rounded edges and radius corners to help the panel blend into the surrounding wall or ceiling. The reverse of the panel has a groove to provide a key for building adhesive. This makes our plastic access hatches very fast to fit. A worthwhile consideration as it’s more time consuming and expensive fixing with screws.
8 sizes are available: 150x150mm, 150x230mm, 200x200mm, 300x300mm, 350x350mm, 450x450mm, 560x560mm. Our 450x450mm is the only panel this size on the market which is guaranteed not to sag when used in a ceiling. Every panel up to 450x450mm is suitable for use in both walls and ceilings. We recommend the 560x560mm access panel is only fitted to walls.
The outer surfaces of the plastic panels are lightly textured and can be left as they are. The texture provides an excellent key for paint or wall covering adhesive. Uses – Plastic Access Panels are cheap to buy, easy to fit and have a multitude of uses for Electricians, plumbers, security systems, CCTV, Builders and Property Maintenance.
As standard these panels have a push lock. To open, insert a coin or similar flat object into one of the two slight grooves on the face of the panel and gently prize the door open. We also offer a key lockable version of each of these panels.
To fit a Jupiter Blue Plastic Access Panel, hold the panel up to the location you’d like to fit it and draw around the outer edge of the frame lip. Cut a suitable hole taking care to check for any cables or pipes. Remove the door from the frame by sliding it off the hinge pegs. Take the frame and apply building adhesive to the grooved channel on the reverse and offer the frame to the wall or ceiling. Press the outer of the frame firmly and evenly into place and check it’s level. Leave adhesive to set and refit the door.
We offer a no quibble, moneyback guarantee on all our Plastic Access Panels. If you change your mind, simply return the product/s to us, unused and we’ll refund or replace the product. Please see our returns policy for details of how to return an item.
