Insulated and Air Tested Fire Rated Access Panel with Picture frame

1 Hour Fire Rated - Tested to BS EN 1634-1:2008 (wall) and BS EN 1634-2:1999 (ceiling). Please Note these standards surpass the requirements of B.S.476: Part 22:1987.

These high quality picture frame access panels provide represent the best of all worlds. By combining a 60 minute fire rating, insulation and draught proofing these panels represent the best of all worlds. The entire range is suitable for providing access access into all types of wall and ceiling construction voids, these panels are also perfectly suited for Eaves Access Doors or Eaves Access Panels.

Insulation, Air Testing and "U" Values

The fire rated access panels are insulated with mineral wool. Panels of 450mm and larger are 0.35 "U" value, below that size are 0.77 "U" value Access panel frames have a 25mm picture frame with pre-punched holes for fixing

Material and Finish:

Each panel is fabricated from 1.0mm Zintec Steel and is supplied powder coated in white RAL 9010 with 20% gloss. The Powder-coat finish means the panels are easy to keep clean and are ready to fit without any need to paint them. The budget lock is also Powder-coated to match the panel, the key operated lock is chrome plated.

Lock options and locking:

Budget Lock - Operated by a triangular shape lock insert (1 key supplied per panel)
Key Lock - Secure 7 pin radial tumbler key lock (with two keys per panel).

The lock is a quarter turn twist action.

Fitting Information:

The inner edge of the frame has pre-drilled fixing holes for easy fitting. Once fitted the fixings are concealed. Fitting instructions are supplied. Note we recommend allowing approximately 5mm over the panel size when creating your structural opening e.g. fit a 150x150mm size panel into a structural opening of 155x155mm.

Please note for timber joists with plasterboard clad ceilings the opening needs to be lined with a minimum of 9.5mm plasterboard. Thereafter measure the length and width of your loft opening (between the ceiling joists and the trimmers / cross members). Cancellations:- Any stock item which is cancelled after having been dispatched, but before you have received it will be subject to a minimum fee of £25.00 + VAT for parcels and a minimum of £70 + VAT for pallets. Bespoke (made to measure) orders cannot be cancelled once ordered.

Returns:
You can return a standard product (most access panels, loft hatches, accessories and Steel / Aluminium Roof Hatches) within 14 days of receipt. Roof domes, Roof Lights, Glazed Roof Hatches and AOV Smoke Vents will be subject to a collection restocking fee.
