Acoustic Access Panel with 40dB reduction

• UKAS Tested to 40dB Acoustic reduction
• 1 Hour Fire Rated Access Panels UKAS Smoke Test Pass

• 1 Hour rating of the insulation by virtue of integrity in a wall application up to 600x600mm

• Tested to the relevant up to date harmonised British/European method meeting BS EN 1634-1: 2008 Fire resistance tests for door and shutter assemblies – Part 1: Walls and BS EN 1364-2: 1999 Fire Resistance tests for non-loadbearing elements - Part 2: Ceilings.
(more stringent than B.S.476: Part 22:1987) including the sustained flaming test, 6mm gap gauge test, 25mm gap gauge test and the cotton pad test.

Our Acoustic Access Panel range also achieves fire rating of 60 minutes and complies with Part J of the Building Regulations relating to inspection hatches for concealed flues in voids.

Material and Finish:

1.2mm Zintec steel with a tough white powder coated finish (RAL9016 with 20% gloss). Draught sealing tape applied to surface joints to ensure maximum air seal. Plaster Board sheet fixed to inside of door, cavity insulated with mineral wool.

Lock option and Locking:

Budget Lock – Features an 8mm square ended Black Plastic T-key. Lock is obscured by a plastic flip tab bung.
Tamper Proof Lock – Features a lock insert which is visible on the face of the access panel door
The lock is a quarter turn twist action. Every panel is supplied with one opening key.

Fitting Information:

The inner edge of the frame has pre-drilled fixing holes for easy fitting. Once fitted the fixings are concealed. Fitting instructions are supplied. Note we recommend allowing approximately 5mm over the panel size when creating your structural opening e.g. fit a 450x450mm size panel into a structural opening of 455x455mm

Cancellations:- Any stock item which is cancelled after having been dispatched, but before you have received it will be subject to a minimum fee of £25.00 + VAT for parcels and a minimum of £70 + VAT for pallets. Bespoke (made to measure) orders cannot be cancelled once ordered.

Returns:
You can return a standard product (most access panels, loft hatches, accessories and Steel / Aluminium Roof Hatches) within 14 days of receipt. Roof domes, Roof Lights, Glazed Roof Hatches and AOV Smoke Vents will be subject to a collection restocking fee.
