Tubular Skylight for Tile roofs

Our 356mm (14") tubular skylights use the latest technology in collecting and reflecting light.

Designed to provide maximum light throughput from a relatively small unit, the Solar Flair tubular skylight is perfect for areas where a larger, standard skylight may not be practical.

The tube shaft reflects 95% of the available sunlight*.

Our low-profile ceiling diffuser spreads natural sunlight evenly through the interior space. The Solar Lens dome collects and reflects light. The unit provides for maximum light, even during low-light hours, such as early morning, late afternoon and winter months.

Product weight 10.43kg.

What is supplied in the tubular skylight kit

  • 2No. 0.6 metre (dual rotation) adjustable angle tubes.
  • Adjustable tubes (two per kit) make it easier to manoeuvre around obstacles.
  • An original Solar Lens dome, made from tough Polycarbonate.

The strong, UV-resistant acrylic dome has an excellent optical clarity and scratch resistance. PLEASE NOTE THE TYPE OF FLASHING IS SUITABLE FOR SLATE. * Based on full midday sun.

3Product v. Service

Overall the installation is good and works well, even though the light passes through two full-degree angle-joints. Sadly, the kit was dispatched from the warehouse despite having been damaged, as evidenced by the two holes in the box, which had been covered up before it was sent out. This delayed installation until a replacement kit could be sent out, after photographic evidence was emailed to supplier. Unfortunately, the labelling on the two angle-joints was very small and, as they appear to be identical, this was crucial once we discovered that one angle-joint is marginally smaller in diameter. With improved labelling and/or a warning note in the instructions plus better warehouse practice and this would have been "a glowing review".
