The SDNL is a loft hatch with an inset window to allow natural light through the loft door from the loft space via skylights, windows or clear tiles in the roof. The door is insulated and fully bonded with a 25mm five layered opaque polycarbonate sheet giving a "U" value of 1.6 (please note this product is not fire rated).

The SDNL is a "Made to Measure" option with a hinge down steel loft hatch for an unobtrusive, contemporary design. There are no projecting hinges or handles, just simple clean lines.

The loft access door requires no painting and projects into the ceiling space a mere 8mm.

Our unique "Made to Measure" SDNL loft hatch has an innovative concealed hinge and a flush lid, contributing towards its unobtrusive look.

The loft hatch has a neat tri-drive budget lock with a built in chamfer for a smooth closing action and high compression.

In addition to the draught seal between the frame and lid, the SDNL loft hatch has an extra concealed draught seal between the frame and ceiling. This virtually eliminates warm air leakage and vapour ingress, it also makes for easy decoration up to the edge of the frame.

The loft hatch frame and lid are white colour RAL No. 9010 with 20% gloss.

When ordering the loft hatch, we would recommend measuring the ceiling cut out (trim size) and deducting 5mm, in case the joists and noggins are not perfectly square. In addition the loft hatch will be hinged on the short side unless stated otherwise.

The largest size we can produce is 900x900mm.
