With key lockable security to discourage unwanted access into the attic, the "PD35L" key lockable loft access hatch is the ultimate simplistic design for the contemporary modern house.
The loft hatch has a smooth white maintenance free finish which requires no painting or decoration, and projects into the ceiling space a mere 7mm.
Once the loft door is opened, it has a large clear opening of 630mmx533mm. This will assist if you have catered for storing large items in the loft, e.g. suitcases and boxes.
The ceiling hatch is insulated with a thick 105mm of EPS insulation to Part "L" requirements of building regulations.
The loft hatch has a flush fitted key lock with two keys. This offers more security for stored items and helps discourage children and others from entering.
The PD35L loft access trap has concealed hinges and a completely flush lid to frame, giving an overall unobtrusive simplistic look.
The loft door has a flush fitting key operated camlock for a more secure loft hatch.
In addition to the draught seal between the frame and lid, the PD35L loft hatch has an extra concealed draught seal between the frame and ceiling. This virtually eliminates warm air leakage, it also assists with ease of decoration of the ceiling up to the edge of the frame.
The ceiling hatch cut out (trim) size is 760mm x 560mm.
The loft hatch is easy to fit, weighing only 3.2kg, with flexible fixing tabs to eliminate twisting from over tightening.

Part "L" of thermal building regulations i.e. 0.35 "U" value.
NHBC compliant for loft hatches, including 520mm clear opening in any direction.
UKAS accredited air infiltration test compliant for loft hatches without the need for additional sealant to the external frame.

The loft hatch insulation used is CFC & HCFC free, ODP zero and compliant to Eco Homes standards of a GWP (global warming potential) rating of less than 5.
The PD35L loft access trap box packaging is 100% recycled & recyclable.
