The PD25L key lockable loft hatch is designed to comply with the extra 20% energy efficiency above and beyond the building regulation document Part L1A, April 2006.
With a "U" value of 0.25 it is the most efficient key lock loft hatch available to the market.
With the same positive elements as the PD35L but with a more energy efficient insulation. The low lambda EPS and the additive incorporated in the manufacturing of the raw material gives it its distinctive colour (only visible in attic or when open) and its very efficient thermal performance credentials.
The thermal conductivity of the loft hatch insulation is 0.03W/mK.
The ceiling door has a secure flat key lockable catch for added security (2 keys are provided with each loft hatch). This is available keyed alike or keyed to differ.
The PD25L ceiling hatch has a smooth white, that requires no painting or maintenance.
Once the ceiling door is fully open, it has a large clear opening of 630mmx533mm. This assists in storing bulky items in the loft space, such as suitcases and large boxes.
The PD25L loft access hatch is compatible with our range of aluminium loft ladders.
The loft trap has concealed hinges and a flush lid to frame, giving a contemporary look to the design.
In addition to the draught seal between the frame and lid, the PD25L loft hatch has a concealed draught-strip between the frame and ceiling. This virtually eliminates warm air and vapour leakage, it also assists with decorating of the ceiling around the loft hatch.
The ceiling cut out (trim) size for the loft hatch is 760mm x 560mm.
The ceiling hatch is easy to fit, weighing only 3.4kg, with eight flexible fixing tabs to reduce twisting from over tightening.
The PD25L complies or exceeds the following regulations for a loft hatch:
Part "L" of building regulations i.e. 0.35 "U" value.
NHBC compliant for a loft hatch, to a minimum of 520mm clear opening in any direction.
UKAS accredited air infiltration test, compliant for loft hatches without addition of extra sealant to the external frame.

The loft hatch insulation is CFC & HCFC free, ODP zero and compliant to "The Code For Sustainable Homes" standards of a GWP (global warming potential) rating of less than 5 (standing at zero).
The PD25 plastic ceiling panel box packaging is made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable.
