Product Information

A loft door more suited to the classic look with a gently detailed frame.

The laddatrap Mk2 thumb-turn loft doors offer easy access to the roof space. This permits the fixing of a loft ladder for extra convenience.

The ceiling hatch frame is fitted with a draught strip which combines with the thumb-turn to provide an effective compression seal in accordance with current regulations.

This ensures a vapour seal. It eliminates draught and contributes to the overall thermal performance of the house.

With a fitting size of 720 x 560mm.

Once the drop down loft door is opened it has a large clear opening of 670mmx533mm.

The full size dimensions of the loft hatch allows comfortable access for the homeowner. This will be of benefit if you store bulky items into the loft space, such as suitcases.

The loft doors are insulated with 35mm of EPS insulation.

The Laddatrap Mk2 loft door is an injection moulded unit produced from precision engineered tooling to our own unique design. The high impact polystyrene material offers a perfect combination of strength, rigidity and stability.

The simple decorative design of the frame blends easily with the design of door frames, architraves and coving.

The clean, smooth finish of the lid and the hidden fixing points complement the overall appearance perfectly.

The Laddatrap loft hatch is quickly fitted, using four screws into adjacent joists and four screws into fitted trimmers. The pre-finished unit is supplied complete and ready to fit.

The surface finish is easily cleaned with a damp cloth, and the entire unit is maintenance free.

A solar powered door light. To aid in lighting any residential entryway (front door, side door, garage entry door, back door, apartment door, etc). Positioned as a decor item and a security item. The Jupiter Blue solar door security light provides a simple, elegant, and cost effective way of lighting an entryway throughout the night.

Product Performance:

The unit contains four super bright LED's and will light the entryway through the night.

Light comes on automatically at nightfall and lasts throughout the night, for 9-12 hours depending on the exposure to direct sunlight.

Installed in minutes, the unit is totally self-contained with no hard wiring.

The solar powered door light provides enough light to aid in entering the residence after dark.

The solar light provides enhanced decor and increased security at night.

 

The unit is designed with a remote solar panel in the event that the entryway does not receive an adequate amount of sunlight. 15' of wire is supplied, hidden within the unit, allowing for relocation of the solar panel if required.

The powder coated aluminium unit is chamfered to naturally shed rainwater.

Product Information

The "SD" hinge down steel 60-minute fire rated loft access hatch has a simplistic design for the contemporary modern house.

With its powder coated zintec steel smooth white maintenance free finish. The loft hatch requires no painting and projects into the ceiling space a mere 8mm.

Once the drop down loft door is opened, it has a large clear opening of 630mmx520mm, therefore compliant to NHBC regulations as Chapter 7.2 Section D14 "to a minimum clear opening of 520mm in any direction". This will assist if you have catered for storing sizeable items in the attic.

The loft access hatch is insulated with a massive 100mm of fire resistant mineral slab insulation to comply with the building regulations 0.35 "U" value.

The SD loft hatch is compatible with our entire range of loft ladders.

The loft door has a 25mm flange that projects beyond the fitting size, The SD loft hatch has concealed hinges and a completely flush lid to frame, this helps to contribute towards its unobtrusive look.

The loft access door has a neat tri-drive budget lock with an integral chamfer for a smooth closing action. A tamper proof double-pin recessed lockable version is available (SDL). However, a lock can be purchased at a later date, for retro fit into the SD if required.

In addition to the draught seal between the loft hatch frame and lid, the SD loft hatch has an extra concealed draught seal between the frame and ceiling. This virtually eliminates warm air leakage and vapour ingress, it also assists with ease of decoration of the ceiling up to the edge of the loft access trap frame.

The loft hatch colour is white RAL No. 9010 with 20% gloss.

The hatch ceiling cut out (trim) size is 755mm x 555mm.

The loft hatch is easy to fit, weighing only 7.6kg, with fitting instructions on the box.
